Sometimes I get message that the mail host did not respond to DELE command or that the mail host is not responding due to timeout. At this point, it is essentially not functional, but it is not crashing completely. It will be completely non-responsive for maybe 30 minutes, and then partially recover until I do something else, using about 18% of CPU and < 500MB memory.
